Using Up Scraps, Making Beautiful Pocket Cards with Bookmarks
We are using up our scraps and making beautiful Pocket Cards that will hold these beautiful bookmarks. How many people still read a REAL book? Well I for one do. I love the smell of real books and can't wait to get my hands on a new one.
Video Tutorial: https://youtu.be/iqwj9_pNTz0
Products Used:
Measurements:
Cardstock 8 1/2"x7" on the long side score at 3 3/4" and 7 1/2" turn one turn and score at 1/2".
Fold on score lines. On the piece without the extra fold down the side you will measure down 4" and then make a mark from here up to the corner and cut this part away.
Your tag/bookmark is cut at 6 1/4"x2 3/4" and the mat for the front is cut at 6"x2 1/2". The little piece on the bottom is cut at 1 3/4"x2 1/2"
Front mat is cut at 3 1/2x6 1/4" place it under the front part that you cut at an angle, mark and cut that part away as well. This should then fit perfectly on the front. If not then trim a little off the bottom.
Inside mat is cut at 3 1/2"x5", this will not go all the way to the bottom but it will not show anyway.
Embellish as you wish and enjoy!!

Tea/Hot Coco and Treat Package
Here is the full video tutorial: https://youtu.be/zNUPIkglYX0
Below you will find all the measurements.
Start with cardstock 12x5 1/2 inches. score on the long side at 5 1/2 and 11 inches.
On the end with the 5 1/2 measurement come down 2 1/2 from the top corner and in 1 1/4", draw a line 1 1/4" in and then from this point up to the top left corner, where the 5 1/2" score line is. This part will be cut away.
Punch two holes around the 2 1/4" mark up from the bottom of the folded piece.
Inside mat is 5 1/4x4, place it along the top portion, it will not come all the way to the bottom, that is fine.
Outside mat is 5 1/4x5 1/4", I place this under my front piece that I have already cut away and mark then cut away. Easier than measuring.
Glue the bottom and the folded sides together with a strong adhesive. Place your ribbon through the holes and tie your tube on.
Watch the video and all the measurements and instructions will be clearer to follow. Any questions just let me know in the comments below.

Double Star Explosion Card
This is another quick and easy project that would be great for Christmas.
You will just need 6 pieces of paper that is cut at 4x4 inches. With your paper you want to use for the outside facing down, fold in half one way and crease then fold in half the other way. Open the piece up turn to the side you are using and fold point to point making a triangle. Just do this one way. As you open the card back up you will notice the two sides want to fold in, fold them in and and then fold the other parts over creating a square, ( as shown in the video).
YOUTUBE TUTORIAL: https://youtu.be/ChS1VeSWJLI
Make six of these, then glue then together with the closed points together, one on top of the other.
For your outside mats use paper that is cut at 1 7/8"x 1 7/8" you can stamp on one or both these will go on the front and back of the folded card.
Before placing these on the front and back take a piece of ribbon about 13" long and fold it in half then thread a wooden bead on it. You can also use class or plastic if you want doesn't matter as long as you can get ribbon or string through the hole.
Glue the ends of the ribbon to each side of the folded card, from closed point to open point. This will cause the bead to be right at the open point of the card.
Place your mats on and you are finished.
You can decorate more if you want just don't use any bulky items since this will need to close up.
If this is confusing then watch the video linked above and it should become clear.
Have fun, share your creations with us at our FB group HERE

Star Card Tutorial
YouTube Tutorial: https://youtu.be/Zz3qsTMKZ8I
Cardstock is 10 5/8x12
On the 12" side mark the center. From the center, or 6" mark cut from this to the corner point. Do this twice and it will give you the perfect triangle.
Score at 5 1/4" and 7" inches.
The white Card stock mats are cut at 5 1/2x4 3/4" you will need 7 of these. On the other 6 you will mark at 2 3/4 on the 5 1/2" side and cut from this point to the corner point creating the triangles.
Place this back in the trimmer and 1 1/2" off one end, on that same end cut another 1/4" off. The tiny 1/4" you will not need keep the other parts for your mats. Do this to all 6 pieces.
The design paper mats are cut at 4 1/2x5 1/8" mark the center of the 5 1/8" side at 2 5/8" and create your triangle as you did above by cutting from this marked point down to the corner points.
Place back in the trimmer and trim away 1 1/4" and then 1/2", keeping all pieces except the 1/2" piece.
Cover all your areas with the mats.
Then use the extra white piece to place in the center. Stamp or color this piece.
I placed a magnet in the center under the center paper and then created a magnetic closure out of a punched piece to close the card. You can close with velcro, belly band etc.
Your card is finished. Have fun.

Tuesdays project Paper Lunch Box
YouTube tutorial: https://youtu.be/SHgDmFSdEjw
Sizes are as follows
12x12 cardstock, score at 1 1/2", 3 3/4", 8 1/4", 10 1/2" turn one turn and score at 1", 2 1/2", 4 3/4",
7 1/4" 9 1/2" and 11"
With the 1" boxes closest to you and the other 1" boxes on the opposite end cut away the 4 boxes in those 4 corners.
Turn to the other sides and cut away the two end blocks, this side will have 3 blocks on each end you just want to leave the center one. As photo shows below.
Mats are (2) 1 3/8"x4 3/8", (2) 2 1/8"x4 3/8", (2) 2 1/8"x2 3/8". If you want to cover the top piece that has the holes in it for the handles, cut the pieces at 7/8"x4 3/8".
I used just a piece of paper to cut the slit in the handles, if you have a punch this would be better. If you follow along with the video and then read this it makes more sense.
The front piece of paper is cut at 3/4"x 4 3/8"
