Day #1 of 30 Days Of Thankfulness

This is the project for day #1 of our 30 Days of Thankfulness. This project was inspired by two of our sweet subscribers, Gabby Arias and Betty Blevins, who asked for a demo on a loaded envelope and an inexpensive do some Thanksgiving table favors.

This is very easy below are all the measurements and the photos. Any questions just let me know.

Start out with a 12x12 piece of paper score at 3 1/4 and 8 3/4" Turn 1 turn and score at 8 1/2"

The little book that goes inside is 7"x6" scored in the middle of the long side at 3 1/2"

Pocket is 3 1/2"x4 1/2" and scored on all 4 sides at 1/2", fold all sides in putting score tape on the inside of the top flap (one of the long sides) fold this down to finish out the pocket leaving no raw edges. Put score tape on the other 3 sides on the outside of the pocket, place these down and stick to your little book.

All of these measurements are optional and you can alter anyway you like this is just my twist on the loaded envelope.

For all other measurements and how to put this all together just watch the video at the link below.

Thank you Betty Blevins and Gabby Arias for your suggestions.

Christmas Card and Free Template

Quick and easy Christmas Tree Card and Free Template.

This card comes together very fast after you get your template made.
Make your template out of something that you can use again and again, that way you don't have to recreate every time you want to make the card again.

The over top mat size is
4 1/4" x 6
The card base needs to be at least 6 1/5"x5" this fits in a standard 7 1/4"x 5 1/4" envelope.

The mat under your top needs to be 6 1/4"x  4 1/2" if you are going to double mat as I did

The star on top is 3/4"

Here is the template drawn out

All of the information on how to cut this is in the video tutorial.

Easy and Quick Shaker Card

I know you have all seen shaker cards all over the internet and so have I, but I had a customer request for this card she said they intimidate her for some reason. So she asked if we could show her step by step how to make an easy one. This is the results below. I love making them, you can put anything inside for the shaker elements, just use your imagination.

Video Tutorial:

The supplies I used are linked below the video.

The dimensions are a regular top folding card 5 1/2"x 4 1/4". Score in the middle of the 11" side at 5 1/2".

Outside frame dimensions is same as card base, all I did was come in 1/2" from all sides and cut out the middle to create the frame part. The acetate is 4x5 1/4". I just used a stamp set I had for the trees, Nuvo glitter drops in White blizzard to create the snow and an old stamp set for the Merry Christmas. To make the glitter drops have even more of an impact add white glitter to them while they are still wet. Glue a few of the sequins around on the page so they will stay in place this help create the illusion of snow falling in your card.

Put all your pieces together and you have a lovely shaker card, quick simple and oh so fun!!

Thanksgiving Favor Box

This is a really easy, quick and cute project for a fall table. And you can put any type of goodies inside. Below are all the measurements.

If you make one of these I hope you will share with us on our Facebook Members room, the link is below.

Facebook Members Room:

Instructional Video:

Cardstock 7"x11"
Score on two long sides at 1" then turn and scor on short side at 4" and 5"

Now you will need a cup, glass or something to make an arch in the top and bottom to cut out, I just used an old CM die that I had.

Arch the top like show in the photo and then arch the bottom the opposite way.

Cut in on your two vertical score lines and notch the pieces on either side as show in the video.

Cut a piece of white cardstock at 5"x2", punch or use decorative scissors to make the scallop on one long edge. Lay this piece on the bottom of the piece that is arched and glue, then cut to match the arch on the under piece.

Belt is 7/8"x5"

Buckle is 1 1/2"x1 1/2"
On buckle mark in on two sides at 1/4" and then down on that same mark at 1/4" from top and bottom (this will be where you start and stop cutting), cut the slits in this piece on both sides at the 1/4" marked sport. Leaving 1/4" from either end of the slits.

Slide your belt through the buckle and glue in place

Use 3/8" x 2" ribbon or piece of paper to make the tie. Cut the slants on either end.  Glue in place.

Then you are ready to assemble the box, put glue or tape on the small side pieces, tape down the two little flaps to the bottom as shown in the video. Then put the sides together, creating your favor box.

That is it quick and simple, but oh so cute.

Envelope Mini Album

This mini album is so fun and so easy to make. It took me maybe an hour all together to make the album and cover it with paper. This is one of my favorites because it has pockets all through to put your memorabilia and such. Below are the dimensions give it a try and share on our Facebook members room so you can be entered for the $15 gift certificate.

For the Cover you will need 3 pieces of chipboard. 2 are cut at 5 1/8 x 6 1/2 inches and 1 that is cut
1 1/8 x 6 1/2 inches. The cover sheets for these are cut at 6 x 8 1/2 inches and the center cover sheet is 3 1/2 x 8 1/2

Cover all chipboard with the card stock as show in the video and then choose what paper you will be using for your album. I choose a beautiful paper from the Couture Creations 6x6 pack Vintage Roses Garden.

The papers are cut to fit the envelopes so depending on what size your envelopes are will determine what size you cut your mats. You can cover completely or just leave a small boarder around them as I did.

My mat pieces were cut as follows.
Full size 4 1/4x5 1/2"
Half size 1 3/4x5 1/2"
slot or flap 1 1/2x5 1/2"
Piece to slid down into envelope 1 3/4x5 1/2"

If you need any further help with this just go to my tutorial video I tell you all the measurements and how to put them together.

Thanks for watching and subscribing.

Mixed Media Layout Using Blue Fern Seaside Cottage

I finally got to do my mixed media layout yesterday.  I have to have quite a bit of time to myself to do a layout because I have to finish all in one sitting. I am not one to sit things aside and finish later. That is just not in me. This time of year it is hard to find enough time to do a full layout in one sitting because of the grands being out of school and under foot.

I used a lot of products on this layout, gesso, sprays, inks, paints, embossing powder, glass beads, stencils, texture paste...and lots more. Whatever I picked up I used lol.

The video is uploading hope you enjoy. Let me know if you have any questions on any items I used. Most of them are in the shop, and all the links are below the video.
