Beautiful 3D Vase and Flowers, Mothers Day/Teacher Gift

Today we are drawing inspriation from a very creating lady on YouTube. I just found her channel last night and she is amazing. I had to bing watch a few of her videos. Her name is The Posh Paper Lady, go check her channel out, you will love it too. Below is the beautiful Vase and Flowers she made and I just had to make one too. You know how much I love 3D projects. You will find my tutorial along with all the measurements and photos below. Hope you give this a try and give her a shout out and don't forget to share on our Facebook page.

I used my cricut explore to create the flowers but I am sure you could do this with a punch if you don't have a cricut. I also used some flatback pearls for the feet and with my new pickup tool it was easy and quick. I glued them on with my hot glue gun. I also reinforced this vase by putting chipboard on the inside and bottom, so it can be used over and over again.  For the paper collection we used the beautiful Prima Poetic Rose and Light Pink Bazzill cardstock for the background.

Directions

Cardstock cut at 7 3/4x11, on the 11" side score at 2 1/2, 5, 7 1/2, 10 turn to the 7 3/4" side and score at 2 1/4"
Cut away the small retangle on the side where you have the 10" score and then cut up on the other score lines wedging out the edges as we do when we make a 3D box.
Fold and burnish

You will now need 4 pieces of chipboard or cereal boxes cut at 2 3/8"x5 3/8". Start by glues 3 of these down on the cardstock in between the score lines. They should just fit. This will reinforce you vase.

Then glue the vase together using the 1" flap, matching the edges. Glue the bottom flaps together making sure the vase comes out square. Now you are ready to glue the last piece of the chipboard inside. Glue it in place.

Cut 4 pieces of pattern paper that are 2 1/2x7 1/2", run a bone foler over the pieces causing them to bend a little in the middle, we will put these on with a space between the vase body and the decorating paper. Start by gluing them only at the bottom, just enough glue to hold them in place.
The one for the back will be glued straight down, no curve in it.

Now take the pieces of paper and hold them to the top of the vase and just put down on them until you creat a slight bow in the paper, making it look like a pot belly vase. When you have the desired bow glue the top down leaving the excess to fold over to the inside. Do this to the 3 pieces, remember the back piece is glued straight down no bow.

Now you can go back and fold the excess pattern paper over and glue it down to the inside covering the chipboard at the top.

Cut another piece of chipboard 2 3/4"x2 3/4", cut a piece of the same cardstock 3 3/4"x3 3/4", place the chipboard on this and cover it, trimming the corners as you do when you do a mini album cover.
Cut another piece of cardstock at 2 1/2"x2 1/2" and place over the other side of the piece, this will make the full cover for the bottom of our vase.

You can now turn this piece over and glue the flat back pearls on for feet.

Glue this piece to the bottom centering.

Cut one more piece of chipboard that is 2 3/8"x8" cover just the front and half way down the back of this piece with your cardstock. This will need to be glued in the back of the vase. It will be taller and the backdrop for the flowers.

Create your flowers and leaves/branches and put them on floral wire, place a styrofoam ball in the bottom to stick the floral wire into.

Glue the flowers on the floral wire and place them in your vase.

Decorate as much as you like. This is it.
