We are creating beautiful cards while using up our scraps. I know we all look for creative ways to use our scraps, and if you are like me you have a well stocked supply of them. So here is just one more card and one more way you can use them up. I have also seen complete scrapbook pages done like this too.
Can't wait to see what you create, the tutorial as well as dimensions are listed below.
Measurements are card base 4 1/4"x5 1/2". The top piece is 4 1/4"x1 3/4" and the circles are 1"
Cascading Mini Album In A Box is what we have made today. Below is the link to the video and the full measurements. I hope you enjoy this and will make sure if you make it that you will share with us on our Facebook group.
Cut 6 pieces of cardstock at 6 1/2x3 1/2 inches on the long side score at 3" and 6" then turn and score at 3". Cut away the small tap that is opposite the two score lines. Just cut to the middle. Then tab the other two. Put adhesive on the tabs and glue together. (this is show much clearer in the video). Cut a thumb pull on the two sides of top of pocket.
Mats for these pieces are cut at 2 3/4"x2 3/4" you will need 12 peices one for both sides of the pockets.
Cut a piece of cardstock just shy of 3"maybe the 2 15/16 mark. Then it needs to be 11 1/2" long. Score on the long side at every 1" mark. all the way down. Fold accordion style. Start at the end with the 1/2" tab and place adhesive on every other, again this is shown clearer in the video.
Take your finished pockets and place them on the adhesive and glue them on the accordion piece this is the accordion part. Shown in full in the video.
The box bottom is cut at 9 1/2x4 1/2 inches. On the long side score at 3, 4 1/2, 7 1/2 and 9 inches, turn one turn and score at 3 1/4". Cut up on small score lines and wedge as shown in the video to create your box bottom.
For the box lid you will need a piece of paper that is 5x 3 1/2 inches, when scoring move out from edge just a little bit maybe 1/16" and then score at 1" on all sides. cut up on score lines and wedge to create you box.
