Next week is the last week of school here in our state for most. Therefore I have to get busy making teacher appreciation gifts. And yes you are invited to come along on the tutorials and hopefully you will find something that will help you with yours. We plan on making a project each day because we need at least 5. Announcement! Mother's Day Tea/Coffee Cup Gift Pouch

There are some exciting announcements on our YouTube today, but you must subscribe and watch to get all the great info.

But here is just a little Gift pouch I made for a mother's day gift card. Tutorial is uploading now to our YouTube channel.

You will need a piece of cardstock cut at 5x8 inches. On the 8" side score at 4" fold and burnish. On the side you will use for the front of your mug you will need to cut a small scoop out at the top.  Use a cup a plate or free hand. Anything to make a small scoop to mimic the looks of a cup at a side view.

Handle: cardstock cut at 3x2 1/2" score on the 3" side at 1 1/2" then measure in on 3 sides 1/2" and mark, leaving the closed fold alone. Cut this piece out to make a 1/2" handle. round corners at the folded end and round corners on the bottom of your mug, while it is folder, opposite the scoop cutout. Glue the handle inside the mug pieces at point desired. Leaving the top of your mug open to make the gift pouch.

Now if you want run this through your big shop with an embossing folder to create the look of a designed cup.

Embellish and place gift card or goodies inside.

Purse Card - Gift Bag ~ Instructions

This purse/card can be used for many different occasions. Mother's day, wedding favors, graduation or just a special gift card.

Here are the measurements:

12x12 piece of paper, fold in half triangularly. Place in your score board at the folded side and find the center point of this fold and place on the 6" mark on your score board. Score at 10 1/4" then flip to the other end and score at 10 1/4". These two flaps will then fold to the inside with the points touching in the middle. This will become your pockets.

While these two flaps are folded to the inside place the piece on your score board matching the center point again to the 6" mark and score at 5" and 7", this makes your bottom folds.

Fold the center score line and the two lines beside making mountain and valley folds. This creates the bottom of your purse card. While this is folded place back in the score board with the bottom of the purse at the side of your score board, and score on the pointed ends at 5 1/4" this makes the top purse flaps that will will turn into the handles.

Now you can either punch these are leave as is. Embellish and you have your purse/card.

Enjoy! E
